Polish Youth Go Championships 2021
About the championships
The annual PYGC is one of the most important events in the Polish Go calendar. Everyone up to the age of 20, regardless of their strength, can take part in the championship. The only requirement has traditionally been that the willing player is of Polish nationality or a permanent resident. Every year, the tournament, despite the intense sense of rivalry surrounding the games, always takes place in a nice and friendly atmosphere. Even though not everyone can win everything, everyone will be rewarded. The championship is always a source of unforgettable moments for the participants, as well as their parents cheering them on.
The championship laureates who decide to take part in the European Youth Go Championship and World Youth Go Championship will be further supported by the Polish Go Association.
This year the format of the tournament will differ from the years before: the matches will be played out online, on the KGS server, over three weekends. Even under those special circumstances we hope the tourney will turn out as great as before.
We would like to invite everyone to take part, and we wish all of our young competitors best of luck and great games.
